Karen Ann “Susie” Dulaney, age 79, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. She was born April 22, 1943, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Marshal (Curly) and Velva A. Mapes Willis. After graduating high school, she started her working career at Banquet Foods in Jackson and then went to the Jackson Goodyear Plant. After working for several years in the local factories, she decided to go back to school and get a degree in a field where she could help people. Enrolling in Rio Grande University in her 40s, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree and became a licensed Social Worker for Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Agency, where she worked for over 30 years. She enjoyed camping, talking on the phone, horses and watching Brian, Kevin, Bryce and Brock race. She loved life and will always be remembered for her homemade noodles and the cinnamon rolls from the leftover dough.

She is survived by her sons: Mark Loudermilk, Brian (Kim) Dulaney and Kevin (Stephanie) Dulaney; sisters: Audrey Tipton and Janice Queen; grandchildren: Brandon Loudermilk, Samantha Dulaney, Brock Dulaney, Bryce Dulaney; step-grandchildren: Sam Lyon and Tyler Williams; and great-grandchildren: Braylon, Hudson and Lillian. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters: Buddy, Harry, Geneva, Donnie and Bud.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Cooper officiating and burial to follow in the Fairmount Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at Elks after burial. Food can be dropped off before funeral. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the funeral home.
