Janet E. Sprague, age 67, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, June 2, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born June 5, 1953, in Wellston, to the late Clifton Leo Cardwell, Sr. and Lillie Mae Camp Cardwell. Janet was a former aide at Good Shepherd Manor. She was an avid NASCAR fan who also enjoyed watching wrestling on T.V. and spending time with her family. Janet attended Freedom Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gary Lee Sprague; children, Harley Rice Buffington, Jr. (Jennifer), Janet Elaine Stanley (Kenny) and Stephen Michael Buffington; along with four sisters, three brothers, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by one sister.
Calling hours will be Monday, June 7, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m., with Minister Robert Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
