Frankie L. Rainer

Frankie L. Rainer, age 83, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 at Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. He was born Sept. 2, 1937 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late John and Chloe (Crabtree) Rainer.

Frankie was a highly decorated U.S. Navy First Class Engineman. He served in the Navy for 20 years before retiring in 1974 in Hawaii. Frankie had been to over 120 different countries around the world.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years and love of his life, Yong H. Rainer; children: Teresa (Jason) Theriault, Anita (Dave) Collins, Frankie Dean (Moleigh) Rainer, and Greg Rainer; granddaughter, Ally; sister, Sherry Smith; as well as additional grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Crystal Rainer; sisters, Marlene Woodruff and Peggy Stapleton; and brother, Larry Rainer.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. No public services will be held per his request. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
