Frances J. “Jackie” Alcorn, age 61, of Coalton, passed away at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2020. She was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on Nov. 22, 1959 to the late Andrew Jack Dempsey and Emma Faye (Spearry) Dempsey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Dempsey.
She is survived by her son, John (Anna) Alcorn; daughter, Amy (Craig) McGowan; two grandchildren: Ian and Brooklyn McGowan; one brother, Chris Dempsey; and by the father of her children, Denver Alcorn. A nephew, Caleb Dempsey and several cousins also survive.
Jackie loved to shop, spend time with her family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren and collecting angels. She also loved her dog, “Miss Molly.”
The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be at 5 p.m.
