Eunice Anthony Richards, age 94, a former resident of Wellston, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Masonic Home in Springfield, Ohio. She was born January 16, 1922 in Harrisburg, Illinois, daughter of the late Harry Jacob Anthony and Stella Haynes Anthony Baker.
Eunice was a 1939 graduate of Coalton High School. She was the former assistant to the director of human services at J.C. Penney Insurance Company for several years. Eunice was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Wellston.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Roger E. Richards, whom she married on July 28, 1942; daughter and son-in-law, Roganne and Tim West of Bluffton, South Carolina; granddaughter, Amy Reynolds (Chad) of Powell, Ohio; great-granddaughters, Ashley Lauren Reynolds and Emma Grace Reynolds; and her sister, Catherine Watters (Dick) of Columbus.
There will be no calling hours. A public graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with Pastor Leland Brehm officiating.
