Erma Jean “Finney” Davis, age 90, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Holzer Senior Health Care Center in Gallipolis. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on March 22, 1926 to the late Sam and Leafy (Lyons) Finney.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis, and a sister, Doris Ramsey.
She is survived by her son, John (Ruthie) Davis; grandchildren: Hollie Haner and J.P. Davis III; and great-grandchildren, Cory Haner, Courtney Haner and Curtis Haner. Also surviving is a special family member, Delmar H. Stiffler of Columbus, Ohio.
Erma lived in Jackson most of her life and was a homemaker. She was an avid bowler and loved to play golf.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12, at 12 p.m. with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
