David Lee Willis, age 65, of Wellston, went to be with his Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021, from his daughter’s home in Hamden, Ohio, following a brief illness. He was born March 19, 1956, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Harry Willis, Jr. and Mary R. Thompson Willis. David graduated from Minford High School in 1974 and was an employee of Bellisio Foods in Jackson. David loved to go camping and hiking, and he always enjoyed playing his guitar; but more than anything, he loved helping others and telling people about his Lord. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
David is survived by his mother: Mary Willis of Minford; brother: Timothy Willis (Lori) of Jasper; sons: Tim Willis (Crystal) of South Portsmouth, Ky. and Nathan Willis (Tonya) of Collinsville, Ill.; daughters: Jessica Lynn Colmer (Bill) of Hamden and Sarah Elizabeth Willis of McArthur; along with 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Willis, Jr.; and children: David Lee Willis and Alicia Marie Willis.
Calling hours will be Friday, September 10th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 11th, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.
