Danny Bill Burchette, 78, of Circleville, passed away at home with family beside him on April 15, 2021. Danny was born in Jackson, Ohio to Virginia and Frank Burchette on December 31,1942. He was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kaufman and spent most of his life in Jackson. Danny graduated from Jackson High School in 1960 and then proudly served four years as a United States Marine.
Danny was a millwright and maintenance mechanic, worked with McNally Pittsburgh, and retired from the Piketon Uranium Enrichment Plant. After retirement, he and his wife, Rita, moved to Circleville, Ohio to be closer to family, and especially grandchildren.
Danny was a man of few words who was very organized and detail oriented. He was a very talented woodworker who loved to also hunt and fish. Danny loved to spend time on the computer and dug deep into family history and genealogy with his computer skills.
Danny was happily married for 52 years to his loving wife, Rita (Fraley) Burchette, who survives. He is also survived by his sister, Holly Johnson, as well as his children; Richard Vadakin, Bill (Donna) Burchette, and Nick (Amy) Burchette. His grandchildren, Brittany Dixon, Ben Burchette and Ryan Burchette, will all miss their papaw very much. Also missing Danny is his spoiled kitty, Sammi Girl Burchette.
Danny’s family would like to extend very special thanks to the team at Ohio Health Hospice and to his niece, Jackie Colflesh, and many other family members who all gave him and his family extra love and support.
The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 151 East Main St., Circleville, OH 43113 where Rev. Tad Grover will officiate a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021. A graveside committal service with military honors will be conducted that same day at 12:30 p.m. in Fairmount Cemetery, 12 Fairmount St., Jackson, Ohio 45640.
