Coalton Historical Society to hold Annual Banquet/Meeting

Plans continue to be set for the Coalton Historical Society Banquet/Meeting to be held Thursday, April 25 in the James A. Rhodes Community Center in Coalton. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

According to Mayor Kim Milliken, the Historical Society has been given the Coalton School time capsule/corner stone and the contents will be revealed at the dinner. The time capsule has been opened and its contents will be of interest to those who are interested in the history of the village and the area.

Abraham Lincoln (Bob Ervin) will give some history leading up to the Gettysburg Address.

The Tea Ladies will be in attendance and Milliken said there is the possibility another great historic figure will be attending.
