Cathy Anne (Hutchison) Denney, age 65, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 9th, 2018 at OSU in Columbus. She was born April 22nd, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Ben and Iva (Simpson) Hutchison.
Cathy was a graduate of Jackson High School class of 1971. She then attended Hocking College where she obtained an Associates degree in Nursing and later furthered her education at Ohio University where she obtained a Bachelors in Nursing. She was employed as the Director of Alcohol and Substance Abuse at the SATP at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio and served on the Tri-County Mental Health Board. She enjoyed cooking, reading-especially Stephen King, and sewing-she made Christmas stockings for all of her family. She loved her cats and was very devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Owen Denney; children: Melissa (Gary) Trustle and Samantha (Keith) Beatty; grandchildren: Billy Erickson and James Beatty; brother, Dennis Hutchison; sister-in-law, Brenda Hutchison; her special friends at the VA SATP; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jerry “Pete” Hutchison; sister, Susie Hutchison; brother, Benny Hutchison; and two grandchildren: Charlotte and Owen Beatty.
