Margaret Lucille McGhee, age 92, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Otterbein Retirement Community in St. Marys, Ohio.
Margaret was born April 17, 1923, the daughter of Lee G. and Florence (Jenkins) McGhee. She graduated from Jackson High School with the Class of 1940 and was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone Company for 34 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Oakland Park Wesleyan Church in Columbus, Ohio, and the AT&T Telecom Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward Lee McGhee and two sisters, Mildred A. McGhee and Ruby I. Hutchings.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Paul D. McGhee, of Jackson; sisters, Mary K. Hutchison, Williamsburg, VA, Alice Gibson, of Fairborn, Ohio, Eleanor Carpenter, of Springfield, Ohio; and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Maurice Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
