Carl Bruce Huston, age 66 of Oak Hill, passed away Friday Nov. 16, 2012 at his home. He was born in Vinton County Oct. 19, 1946 to his late parents Marvin and Bessie (McLaughlin) Huston.
He served in the US Navy from 1964 to 1968 an was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber from 1969 to 1985. He operated Huston’s Welding and Fabrication from 1985 through 1994. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0261.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Gillespie) Huston, of Oak Hill, son Kevin Huston of Jackson, Ohio, daughters, Jeannie (Michael) Burns of Hilliard, Ohio and Tammy (Randy) Hughes of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandsons, Nicholas and Max Burns of Hilliard, Ohio; brothers, Lyle (Jerri) Huston, Keith (Edna) Huston, Steven (Becky) Huston; sister Sharon (Joe) Webb and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 20, at the Lewis Gillum Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Howard officiating burial will follow in Irish-McCulgan Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday Nov. 19, 2012 at the Lewis Gillum funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio.
