Bertha (Phipps) Stacy, age 87, of Willard Ohio, formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, June 1st, 2012 at Willard Health Care Facility in Willard Ohio. She was born December 2, 1925 in Salyersville Kentucky to the late Columbus and Margaret (Wireman) Coffey.
She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Buss, of Willard; sons, Gary Phipps, of Willard, Jeff Phipps, of Zaleski, Ohio; grandchildren, Adele Krerowicz, John Buss, Ryan Buss, Janzen Phipps, Kristen Phipps, Barry Phipps, and Holly Phipps. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Owsley; brother, Winford Coffee; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by husbands, Barry Phipps and Earl Stacy, son, Bob Phipps, son-in-law, Richard Buss and several brothers and sisters.She retired from Pepperidge Farms, enjoyed making quilts and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Eisnaugle-Lewis) in Jackson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
