Shirley (Sickles) Wilson, age 71, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. She was born in Jackson County, Ohio on March 26, 1948 to Ira Sickles and Judith (Parks) Sickles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ira Sickles, her sister, Pattie Sickles and infant brother, Paul Edwards.
Shirley was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and a long-time member of the TOPS Chapter #OH 2263 and will be greatly missed by them.
She is survived by her mother, Judith Sickles; her husband, Steven Wilson; children, Timothy Paul Stephens and Holly Anne Braxton; brothers: Ronald, Charles, Clifford and Ernie Sickles; and 14 grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Tim Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 29 from 1 p.m. up until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
