Ronald Keith Roof, age 47, of Oak Hill passed away August 8, 2012, at Holzer in Jackson. Ron was born June 14, 1965 in Oak Hill to Virginia (Saunders) Roof and the late Elmer Roof.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his four children, Matthew Hall, R.P. Roof, Andrew Roof and Brittany Roof; brothers, Dean and Jimmy Roof; two nieces, one nephew, and his dog, Bixby.
Ron was a 30 year member of the Madison Jefferson Fire Department and was also a member of the Oak Hill Village Council. He served as president of the Madison Jefferson Firefighters Association Bingo Hall, was a police officer and an EMT.
He will be loved and missed by countless friends, family and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Kuhner-Lewis) in Oak Hill with pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, August 10, 2012 from 4-7:30 p.m. with a firefighters service at 7:30.
