Michael Margiasso

Michael Margiasso, at age 53, went to be home with the Heavenly Father Aug. 7, 2014, due to a battle with cancer.

Michael was born Oct. 28, 1960 in Patchogue, New York to the late Ralph Margiasso and Diane Kross Margiasso Cairigan. He came to Jackson County, Ohio in 1998 due to employment. He later met the love of his life in May, 2008. Michael and his wife, Candi M. Throne Margiasso, united their love and married Sept. 17, 2013.

Michael is survived by his wife, Candi Margiasso (Jackson, OH); his mother, Diane Cairigan (Cape Coral, FL); a sister, Mary (Frank) Steele (Tampa, FL); a brother, Richard Scott (Cape Coral, FL); two daughters, Melissa Long and husband (TN), and Ashley Gadd and husband (believed stationed in Las Vegas); and a son, Michael “Scott” Margiasso (TN).

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tristan, Angelina and Lylamae; his mother-in-law, Connie (Jerry) Thorne Eberts (Jackson, OH); father-in-law, Francis E. Thorne (Hamden, OH); sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jammie Kerr; as well as his special friends, Jim Bob, Tim “Walnut” (Jackson), and Oklahoma (Jackson); and many other family members and friends.

Michael deeply loved his wife, and he enjoyed going fishing and hunting. He loved his animals and gardening as well. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph and brother, Ralph Margiasso, and a very special man he held dear to his heart and looked to as a dad.

Michael’s remains were cremated, under the direction of the Huntley & Cremeans Funeral Home in Wellston. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience. 

Michael will be deeply missed by all.
