Larry James Elkins

Larry James Elkins, age 73, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 at Holzer of Jackson. He was born Sept. 21, 1946 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Jessie and Louise (Dixon) Elkins.

Larry served in the United States Army as a marksman during Vietnam. He attended Victory Chapel Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Roseanne (Mannering) Elkins; children: Trina (Eugene) Lennox, Eric Elkins, Ramona (James) Camp, Anthony (Amy) Elkins, Scott (Jennifer) Elkins, and Rain Hendricks; grandchildren: Shaun, Amber, Alexis, Austin “AJ”, Ridge, Tyler, Emily, Aaron, Breanna, Adreanna, Savannah, Miranda, Hunter, Holden, Cora, Theron, and Rowan; siblings: Lennie (Jonette) Elkins, Donna (Carson) Baker, Sue (Doug) Fannin, Vida Channell, Marty Elkins, and Joe Elkins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jed Elkins and brother-in-law, Paul Channell.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
