Judy Ann Bell Dunfee

Judy Ann Bell Dunfee, age 72, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born April 8, 1947 in Logan, Ohio to the late William E. Bell and Ruth L. Webb Bell. 

Judy graduated from Wellston High School with the Class of 1965.  She was a former small business owner whose businesses included “The Market Place” and “Seeds for the Sower.”  Judy’s greatest passions were serving the Lord and being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.  She always loved spending time with her family and especially hanging out with her grandchildren. 

Judy enjoyed cooking, reading, entertaining and taking long rides.  She was also known to be a collector of several items, including Bibles, Longaberger baskets and Precious Moments figurines, to name a few. 

Judy, along with her longtime friend, Carolyn Denny, were responsible for raising the money for the Vietnam War memorial monument on Wellston’s town square.  She was a member of the American Legion Post 371 Ladies Auxiliary and she attended World Outreach Ministries. 

Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald L. “Don” Dunfee; children, Darla A. Speakman (Chuck) of Jackson, Marnee E. Sprague (Dave) of Upper Arlington, Bobbi Dunfee of Akron and Donny C. Dunfee (Cara) of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Paisley Speakman, Annie Speakman, Magee Sprague, Allee Sprague, Cole Reed, Faith Reed, Brandon Allen, and Gianna Dunfee; great-grandchildren, Zeke Speakman and Emmy Reed; brothers, Bill Bell (Judy) of Arizona and Jim Bell (Sharon) of Pataskala; sister, Peg Barber (Chris) of Wellston; along with several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Cindi Graham. 

Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Butch Bell. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jim Stewart officiating.
