James W. Collins, age 88, of Wellston, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Jenkins Memorial Nursing Facility in Wellston. He was born July 23, 1923 in Canada, the son of the late A.D. Collins and Kathleen Warner Collins.

Jim was a 1941 graduate of Logan High School and also a graduate of Virginia Tech. He was retired from McNally Pittsburg Manufacturing where he was a sales engineer. Jim was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church, the Black Diamond Lodge #538 F&AM and the Shiloh Shrine Club.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Cunningham Collins; his sister, Cora Margaret Milne, and his niece, Jane Hall, both of Kentucky.

At Jim’s request, there will be no services and his body was cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Hope United Methodist Church, 219 East First Street, Wellston, Ohio 45692.
