Harry A. Scudder, Jr., age 86, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. He was born June 16, 1932 in Maineville, Ohio to the late Harry A. Scudder, Sr. and Zella Mae Snider Scudder.

Harry was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was a former truck driver for several years and then later retired from Luigino’s, where he was employed as a security guard.

Harry was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Hamden, the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston, and the Orphan’s Friend Lodge #275 F&AM in Wilkesville.

Harry enjoyed many fun past times, but his passion as far as enjoyment was bowling. He was an avid bowler who always looked forward to bowling with his many friends.

Harry is survived by his children, Michael Scudder of Hamilton, Ohio, Joanne Wright of Bartlett, Tennessee, and Harry Steven Scudder of Okatie, South Carolina; sister, Dixie Owens of Hamilton, Ohio; grandchildren, Sheri Allen of Hamilton, Ohio, Michelle Logan of Oxford, Mississippi, Benjamin Nolen of Hamilton, Ohio, Benjamin Scudder of Charlotte, South Carolina, and Joel Scudder of Minot, North Dakota; along with six great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Ross Scudder, and his brother, Buddy Scudder.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 28 at 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, with Pastor Tim Jones and Pastor Lamar O’Bryant officiating.
