Delilah Bowling Hickman, 67, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe. Delilah was born on Aug. 16, 1951 in Ashland to the late Lloyd Edward and Noldie Lowe Bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Bowling and James Bowling; and two sisters, Martha Withrow and Nellie Hall.
Delilah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her animals and above all else loved her family. She was a friend to everyone she met.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Joel “Jody” Hickman; one son, Joel “Scott” Hickman (Michelle) of Lockport, NY; one daughter, Tracy Coon Hickman of Jackson, OH; one sister, Asenath Toney of Boyd County; eight grandchildren, Cody Hickman (Aubrie Smith), Devon Coon, Steven Coon, Sara Elizabeth Coon, Joel Hickman II, Max Hickman, Benjamin Hickman and Jacob Hickman; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Caniff Funeral Home in Ashland, Kentucky with Brother Tom Leach officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.canifffuneralhome.com
