Anna Belle Linton

Anna Belle Linton, age 86, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019.  She was born Oct. 17, 1932 in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Luther L. Hartley and Margaret Morris Hartley.

Anna Belle was a 1950 graduate of Wellston High School. She was the former secretary at Gem Bottling Co. in Wellston for almost 31 years, and was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Wellston.  Anna Belle loved putting together puzzles, as well as enjoying reading, playing Wii and euchre, and being outdoors.

She is survived by her children, David Linton (Stephany) of Gallatin, Tennessee, Shirley Leach of Wellston and Robert Linton of Wellston; grandchildren, Craig Linton, Eric Linton, Katrina Giles (Donald), Richie Linton (Stephany), Robbie Linton (Ivonne), Quintin Linton and Marna Linton; brothers, Jimmy Hartley of Chillicothe and Johnny Hartley (Nancy) of Brookville; sisters, Loretta Betts of Dayton, Mary McCray of Dayton and Jeannie Jordan (Keith) of Wellston; brother-in-law, Charlie Gilliland of Wellston; sister-in-law, Doris Hartley Stewart of Wellston; along with 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, Anna Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. “Dick” Linton in 2009; brothers, Thomas “Jr.” Hartley, Donald Hartley and Robert Hartley; sister, Martha Gilliland; and one grandson and one great-grandson. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Ann Keating officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
