Beatrice Maude Rhodes, age 81, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Jenkins Memorial of Wellston, Ohio. She was born May 26, 1933 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Bernard Compston and Beatrice (Jewell) Gettles.
She enjoyed sewing, movies, and especially God’s gift of nature. She also loved her neighbors at Jenkins Memorial.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Lynn Miller of Wellston, Ohio and Janice Rhodes of Jackson; their father, Robert Gene Rhodes of Coalton, Ohio; grandchildren, Robert Allen (Linda) Davis, Harold Christopher (Andrea) Davis, Richard (Michelle) Davis, Amanda Miller, Ryan (Carrie) Miller, Justin Miller, Andrew Hughes, and Trent Walke; son-in-law, David Walke; as well as several great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is her daughter, Martha Walke; sisters, Betty Norton, Hazel Norton, and Nora Frank.
A funeral service will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 6pm with Diaconal Minister, Janie Karl officiating.
