Frank Wilhite, age 71, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on October 31, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollan Wilhite Sr. and Verna (Harris) Wilhite, and two brothers, Hollan Wilhite Jr. and Darrel Wilhite.
Frank was a retired mine worker, a member of the United Mine Workers and the Walking Horse Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Ogier) Wilhite; daughter, Cassadie Wilhite; step daughter, Courtney (Aaron) Simpson; sister, Connie (Charles) Deskins; two grandchildren, Eli Coll and Sofia Simpson; nieces and nephews: Kendra (Darick) Mahon, Kenneth (Angela) Chapman, Darrel Ross Wilhite, Christy Ball, Tina (Terry) Booth, Angela Lowe, Karen Wilhite and Missy (Mack) Wilhite Lemaster.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, August 1, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, at 1 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
