Michael Lee Eisnaugle

Michael Lee Eisnaugle, age 62, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2014 with his family by his side in Jackson, Ohio. He was born March 28, 1952 in Jackson, Ohio. He is the son of Dolores and the late Frank Eisnaugle. Mike was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, belonged to the Gideon’s International Ministry, Lions Club, and several other ministries throughout his life.

Mike graduated from Jackson High School in 1970. He graduated from Capital University in 1974 and with his master’s degree in counseling from Dayton University in 1986. He retired from Jackson City Schools after 36 years of service; 21 of which were as a science teacher and the last 15 as a guidance counselor at Jackson Middle School.

Mike is survived by his wife of 27 years, Angela (Sexton) Eisnaugle; sons, Andrew and Luke Eisnaugle; god-daughter, Cynthia (Ridgeway) Robinson; brother, Gary (Malvery) Eisnaugle of Lucasville, Ohio; sister, Linda (Ed) Scurlock; uncles, Steve (Shirley) Eisnaugle and Johnny Eisnaugle; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Eisnaugle, Amanda (Mike) Roman of Columbus, Ohio, Clark Scurlock, Brooke Scurlock, Jessica (Tyler) Swackhammer, Jennilynn (Phillip) Osborne, Kelsey Martin, Sarah Martin, Hunter Sexton, Haley Sexton, Holly Sexton, Presley Sexton; cousins, Jonittia (Rex) Osborne and Brett (Christy) Eisnaugle; mother-in-law, Peggy Sexton; sister-in-law, Pam (Jay) Martin; brothers-in-law, Dusty (Wendy) Sexton and Jamey (Misty) Sexton; great-nieces and great-nephews, Trey Eisnaugle, Ethan Eisnaugle, Jordan Swackhammer, Landon Roman, Spencer Osborne, and Jayden Swackhammer.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Frank Eisnaugle; grandparents, Arnold (Peggy) Detty, Ruth (Darrold) Bennett, and Henry (Adriene) Eisnaugle; and father-in-law, Paul Sexton.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 1 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Goodall officiating. Calling hours and funeral service will take place at the Jackson Middle School Auditorium, 21 Tropic Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help further the education of his children, Andrew and Luke.
