{"id":9992,"date":"2019-08-20T21:02:41","date_gmt":"2019-08-21T01:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jacksoncountyohiogen.com\/members\/?p=9992"},"modified":"2019-08-20T21:02:42","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T01:02:42","slug":"linda-kay-kessler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jacksoncountyohiogen.com\/members\/2019\/08\/20\/linda-kay-kessler\/","title":{"rendered":"Linda Kay Kessler"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Linda Kay Kessler, 78, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at 5:48 a.m. at her residence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio to Paul Franklin and Doris Bell McAdam Maddux. She was a 1959 graduate of Shawnee High School and lived most of her life in Springfield before moving to Oak Hill in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before her retirement, she was a home health service representative at Community Hospital in Springfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was a 50-year member of the Star Light Garden Club in Springfield and a member and founder of the Mulch To Do Garden Club in Oak Hill. She was also a member of the Friends of Jackson Lake in Oak Hill and was a 4-H advisor for over ten years. She loved traveling, gardening, reading, boating, fishing, spending time with her great-grandchildren and feeding everyone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard \u201cCorky\u201d Maddux who is survived by his sons and Linda\u2019s nephews, Kenley and Ross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is survived by and dearly loved by her husband, Lauris Roger (Larry) Kessler whom she married May 6, 1961; two sons, Kevin and Kent Kessler, both of Oak Hill; a granddaughter, Kristin Murray and her husband, Anthony, of Springfield and two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Alaina Murray.&nbsp; She cared very deeply for all of her family and friends and her family extends a special thank you to her dear friend, Brenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not enough can be said about her thoughtfulness and caring for family, friends and animals.&nbsp; Linda will be greatly missed and loved and will continue to be treasured in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House. &nbsp; Cremation will follow the visitation.
