Moshier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Steven A. Moshier, age 56, of Wellston, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 2, 2019, as the result of a tragic automobile accident in Van Wert, Ohio.&nbsp; He was born Nov. 1, 1962 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Dale L. Gill and Nancy J. Moshier Gill.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve was a 1981 graduate of Wellston High School, and while attending high school, he was employed by the Wellston City Recreation Board.&nbsp; Following graduation, Steve was hired by Brenner&#8217;s Grocery where he was employed as their meat cutter.&nbsp; In 1987, he started employment at Merillat Industries, where he was employed for over 25 years until the closing of the plant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently, Steve was a certified boiler operator at Northwest Hardwoods in Hamden.&nbsp; Steve was a former active member of the Wellston Ohillco Society Board of Directors.&nbsp; He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.&nbsp; He loved having and going to yard sales, as well as attending flea markets and going gambling, all with his best friend, his wife.&nbsp; He loved reading science fiction books, of which he gained quite a collection, along with Mopar Hot Wheels.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a short year and a half ago, Steve was given a second chance at life by being the recipient of a successful liver transplant, thanks to the generosity of an organ donor&#8217;s family.&nbsp; At the end of his life, Steve was also a donor in hopes of giving others a better life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jean Ann McWilliams Moshier; brothers, Bryan Gill and Aaron Gill (Fawn Hill); sister, Cheryl Brady; niece, Emily Brady; great-niece, Aria; aunts, Rita Ousley and Clara Murray; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Patty McWilliams; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Sharon McWilliams; nephews, Josh McWilliams (Kayla), Alex McWilliams (Audrey) and Morgan McWilliams (Amber), along with several other great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.&nbsp; A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.&nbsp; Steve requested cremation to follow.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who wish, memorial contributions in Steve&#8217;s name can be given to the Jackson County Dog Pound, 248 Reservoir Road, Jackson, Ohio 45640.\u00a0 Online condolences can be sent to the family at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steven A.
