{"id":9877,"date":"2019-07-08T19:18:48","date_gmt":"2019-07-08T23:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jacksoncountyohiogen.com\/members\/?p=9877"},"modified":"2019-07-18T19:19:39","modified_gmt":"2019-07-18T23:19:39","slug":"henry-lee-bud-taylor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jacksoncountyohiogen.com\/members\/2019\/07\/08\/henry-lee-bud-taylor\/","title":{"rendered":"Henry Lee &#8220;Bud&#8221; Taylor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Henry Lee &#8220;Bud&#8221; Taylor, age 76, of McArthur, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, July 6, 2019, at his home.&nbsp; He was born May 25, 1943 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Maurice Elliott Taylor and Mabel Keener Taylor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henry was a 1961 graduate of Wellston High School.&nbsp; He was a dedicated soldier of 22 years in the United States Army, serving in both Vietnam and Korea.&nbsp; While assigned to Germany, Henry met and married his wife, Veronika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henry loved traveling abroad and had a knack for blending in with the locals.&nbsp; He loved hiking in the mountains in Germany and Austria, and spent numerous visits to England.&nbsp; An experienced mechanic, Henry loved working on cars, and especially enjoyed watching auto racing of all sorts.&nbsp; He continued his service to his country for 15 more years, working as a civilian specialist in electronic and maintenance for the U.S. Army in Germany.&nbsp; Henry longed to come home and found further employment working for the VA Hospital in Chillicothe when he finally retired.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Veronika Ginella Taylor; sons, Maurice &#8220;Reece&#8221; Taylor of Chico, California, Bruce Taylor (Mary) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Lee Taylor (Kelly) of Urbana; grandsons, Zachary, Robert, Alan, Steven, Matthew, Patrick and Joseph; brothers, Bruce Taylor and Frank Taylor; along with several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sisters, Reva &#8220;Kitty&#8221;, and Lou.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.&nbsp; Funeral service, with military honors by representatives of the United States Army, will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.
