Steven Carl Meadows, age 66, of Ray, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 10, 2019 at his home. He was born Jan. 11, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Vernon C. and Mary (Sharon) Meadows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandie (Wright) Meadows, of Ray; children, Gretchen (Steve) Nichting, of Durham, NC, Matt (Jaimee) Meadows, of Jackson, Julie (John) Lange, of Grandview, OH, and Amy (Branden) McGhee, of Jackson; grandchildren, Meghan, Brynlee, Ethan, Payton, Elliott, Sylvia, Allison, Madison, Colby and Christopher; and great-grandchild, Boe. Steve is also survived by his siblings, Joyce (Doug) Fannin, of FL, Gary Meadows, of Beaver, OH, and David Meadows, of FL and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Steve loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved being around his family and especially his grandchildren. He was always in the background, he hated the spotlight, but his presence was so important. He didn\u2019t say much but when he spoke he was the king of the \u201cone-liners\u201d. He always said he was fortunate enough to watch all of his grandchildren catch their first fish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
