Orland Stanley “Stan” Ervin, Jr., age 57, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born April 20, 1961 in Wellston, Ohio to Orland Stanley Ervin, Sr. and Christine D. Trosper Ervin. <\/p>\n
Stan was a 1979 graduate of Wellston High School. He was a former employee of Frick-Gallagher Manufacturing in Wellston and a former member of United Steel Workers of America. Stan, a great handyman and jack of all trades, enjoyed tinkering on cars, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. <\/p>\n
He is survived by his mother, Christine Ervin of Wellston; daughter, Jessie Ervin of Wellston; grandchildren, Austin, Braydyn and Jossylynn Crabtree; brother, Kenneth “Bub” Ervin (Sheila) of Wellston; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. <\/p>\n
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Ervin, Sr.; and his brother, Terry L. Ervin. <\/p>\n
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor Vinny Powell officiating. In keeping with Stan’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.
