Ruth Imogene (Chaney) Hammond, age 93, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Oct. 17, 2017. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sue) Hammond; sister, Donna Smith; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hammond; grandchildren: Jeff (Tina) Hammond, Kurt (Karen) Hammond, Alicia (Troy) Lauffer, Micah Hammond, and Lucas Hammond; great-grandchildren: Eric Hammond, Michael Hammond, Julia Hammond, Marisa Hammond, Sidney Lauffer, and Mason Lauffer; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Hammond and son, B. Keith Hammond.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held immediately after at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery.
