Steven Randall Howard, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2016 at his home in Chillicothe Ohio. He was born June 3, 1967 in Oxnard, California. He was a 1985 graduate of Jackson High School and attended the University of Rio Grande. He worked as a lab technician for Franklin Industries for 21 years.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 21 years, Connie (Humphreys) Howard; a daughter, Kristin Michelle, age 16; son, Tyler Richard, age 14; his mother and step-father, Patricia and Stewart Riegel of Jackson, Ohio; three sisters: Judy (Greg) Herbert of Oak Hill, Ohio, Rita (David) Wiseman of Gallipolis, Ohio, Shelly Howard of Gallipolis, Ohio; mother-in-law, Faye Humphreys of Jackson, Ohio; special uncle, Richard “Dick” (Bonnie) Howard of Jackson, Ohio; special aunt, Sharon Gregson of Somis, California; as well as several brother and sisters-in-law, and nieces and a nephew that he loved spending time with.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack” Howard.<\/p>\n
Steve was an avid Cleveland Browns and OSU Buckeyes football fan. He loved watching the games with his wife and children, who are also fans. He was a computer hobbyist. He loved fishing and cheering on his kids at sporting events. Steve lived his life for his family and his children. He was a wonderful father and husband. <\/p>\n
Friends may call on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
