Betty Lou Gibbs, age 70, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. She was born January 19, 1946 in Wellston, Ohio.<\/p>\n
Betty is survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Hansgen Gotschall of Hebron; sons, John Downard of Hamden and Steve Downard of Radcliff; sisters, Nancy Turner of Hebron and Lori Harpole of Hendersonville, Tennessee; brothers, Danny Gotschall and Larry Gotschall, both of Hebron; as well as seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Lou Seymour; step-father, John Gotschall; daughter, Tammie Hansgen Smith; granddaughter, Amber Clancy; and sister, Elaine Gotschall.<\/p>\n
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jim Eberts officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
