Lester Alan “Bub” Adkins, age 52, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was born May 1, 1964 to the late Lester and Shirley “Peg” Adkins. His primary work was as a logger.<\/p>\n
He is survived by three children: Jacinta Rae Christian, Lester Alan Jr., and Stacy Marie Adkins; granddaughter, Kobi; 12 brothers and sisters: Jackie Adkins, Carolyn Harrison, Sheila Sergent, Brenda McKenzie, Debbie Ridgeway, Jerry Adkins, Jeff Adkins, Marsha Phillips, Jeannie Ingles, Jeannette Ingles, Eric Glenn Adkins, and Joshua Adkins; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; including special cousin and friend, Larry Adkins Jr.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Eric Lee Adkins.<\/p>\n
Bub will be missed by his family and many friends, and will be waiting to welcome them to heaven.<\/p>\n
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.<\/p>\n
