Anna Kathleen Yerian, 92, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2015, at Four Winds Nursing Home in Jackson, after a brief illness. She was born January 24, 1923 in Jackson, to the late Ellsworth F. and Martha Frances (Evans) Colby.<\/p>\n
Kathleen was a graduate of Jackson High School, class of 1940. She retired from the Jackson High School Cafeteria Program after 21 years. She was a former member of the Calvary United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her son Dave Yerian and daughter Penny Bonham; grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Yerian-Risch and Kyle Bonham; great-grandchildren, Cade and Hailey Risch. She is also survived by Pearl (Bill) Bowman, Ellsworth (Peg) Colby, Martha (Dwight) Walburn, and Linda (Gerald) Tussing.<\/p>\n
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother Lamar \u201cTex\u201d Colby, Evelyn Colby White, and Darlene Colby Delong.<\/p>\n
Kathleen loved her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, and crafting.<\/p>\n
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, with Rev. Don Price officiating. Friends may call from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.<\/p>\n
