Roger K. Hutchinson, age 55, of Blackfork, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Arbor’s Nursing Home in Gallipolis, with family at his bedside, after a short illness of cancer.<\/p>\n
He was born November 29, 1958 in Oak Hill to the late Zack and Dorothy (Keels) Hutchinson. He was a lifetime resident of Blackfork, and a member of Union Baptist Church.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hutchinson and a sister, Cheryl Hutchinson.<\/p>\n
He is survived by two sons, Colin and Cory McDermitt, and also special friend, Connie McDermitt and Coty. He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Hutchinson, of Blackfork; brothers, Larry (Susan) Hutchinson, of Blackfork, Lonnie (Michelle) Hutchinson, of Gallipolis, Byron (Lonna) Hutchinson, of Jackson, and Howell Hutchinson, of Arbor’s Nursing Home in Gallipolis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed in the community.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Union Baptist Church in Blackfork, with Rev. Tim Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.<\/p>\n
