Ronald E. Slayton, age 72, went into God’s arms on May 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Susan (Spires) Slayton; brothers, Robert and Gary Slayton; niece, Michelle Treadway; and nephew, Donald Slayton.<\/p>\n
He is survived by sons, Robert (Lisa) Slayton and Ryan (Diana) Slayton; daughter, Alyson Carruth; granddaughters, Kirsten and Britnee Slayton; grandsons, JP Otero-Meacham and Jack Slayton; brother, Richard (Patty) Slayton; and sisters, Sue Ellen (Randy) Cochran, Carol Caldwell, Jeraldine Wheeler and Shirley (George) McKnight.<\/p>\n
Ron was living in Columbus, Ohio; he was a 1958 graduate of Wellston High School and played center on their football team and they were undefeated in the SEOAL that year.<\/p>\n
A memorial service will be held on June 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wellston, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Ron’s memory.<\/p>\n
