Warren G. “Fred” Young, Jr., age 60, of Wellston, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. He was born October 22, 1951 in Coalton, Ohio, the son of the late Warren G. Young, Sr. and Dora M. Deck Young. Warren was a 1970 graduate of Wellston High School and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served for 10 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all sports.<\/p>\n
Warren is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon L. Mather Young; son, Troy J. Young of Wellston; sisters, Bonnie Stone of Columbus and Vicki Dixon of Washington; step-sisters, Dottie Mowles of Texas and Lynn Young of Chillicothe; mother-in-law, Doris Mather of Wellston; sister-in-law, Diane Williams of Wellston; brother-in-law, Doug Mather of Virginia; special friend, Danny Walton of Wellston, as well as several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Besides his parents, hew as preceded in death by his step-mother, Ruth Young; his sister, Regina Gregg and his father-in-law, Gene Mather.<\/p>\n
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.<\/p>\n
