She was born in Jackson on Dec. 17, 1926, to the late Fredrick and Kathryn (Whaley) Altherr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry &#8220;Buck&#8221; Sinclair; her second husband, Charles &#8220;Pete&#8221;&nbsp;Cavey; a son, John &#8220;Jeff&#8221; Sinclair; and three sisters: Ruby Altherr, Juanita Loftis and Shirley Howell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Levite; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Altherr; and several nieces and nephews with whom she was very close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Polly was a voracious reader and loved music and visiting with family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graveside services will be held at Fairmount Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m., with Bill Taylor as celebrant. A repast will follow at the Stockroom, 601 E. Main St. in Jackson, Ohio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral arrangements are by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
