Jackie Dean Garrett, age 80 of Jackson, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Jenkins Community Care Facility in Wellston. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was born May 13, 1940 in Woods, Kentucky to the late Woodrow and Dorothy Goble Garrett. He was a member of the Faith Victory Church and was big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Dale Earnhardt Sr. He drove a truck for the Davis Trucking at the Waterloo Coal Company for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed taking his boys to the area bluegrass festivals and to watch some dirt-track racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his sons: Jeff (Teresa) Garrett and Timothy (Tracy) Garrett and grandchildren: Micheal, Natalie and Ethan Garrett. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastors Cecil and Trudy Wright officiating and burial to follow in the German Salem Cemetery in Scioto Township. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
