Charles L. Sprouse Jr., age 91 of Jackson, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born on July 28, 1929 in Jackson to the late Charles and Mary Jane (Smith) Sprouse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine (McCoy) Sprouse; grandson: Tristian Morgan; and brothers: Willard Sprouse Sr. and Clarence Sprouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his son, Charley (Sabrina) Sprouse; a daughter, Debbie (James) Fultz; 9 grandchildren: Misty Morgan, Chad (Susan) Sprouse, Beth Ann (Dale) Spires, Mike (Danae) Morgan, Mandie (Rick) Sprouse-Messer, Sarah McGuire, Alexis (Evan) Dunn, Michael Sprouse, and Charles Cameron Sprouse; 12 great-grandchildren: Tyler Sprouse, Kyle Creech, Brook Creech, J.J. Snyder, Kenzie Parker, Alec Johnson, Cody Straten, Caitlin Exline, Michiah Morgan, Josh Gee, and Tiffany Slack; 10 great-great-grandchildren: Blake Dye, Kaylee Sprouse, Jazmyn Gaul, Harper Gee, Natalie Parker, Sullivan Parker, Mason Parker, Braxton Creech, Hensleigh Clarkson, and Carter Exline. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJr.\u201d loved to mow and be outside. He was well-known for his business in Jackson. He was also a devoted friend to many, as well as a veteran of the U.S. Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 12 noon, with Pastor Cecil Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m., until the service time at noon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
