Gladys “Polly” Sinclair-Cavey, age 94, of Jackson, passed away at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 due to complications of COVID-19. She was born in Jackson on Dec. 17, 1926 to the late Fredrick and Kathryn (Whaley) Altherr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry “Buck” Sinclair; her second husband, Charles “Pete” Cavey; a son, John “Jeff” Sinclair; and three sisters: Ruby Altherr, Juanita Loftis and Shirley Howell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Levite; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Altherr; and several nieces and nephews with whom she was very close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Polly was a voracious reader, loved music and visiting with family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
