Potts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rena went with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 at her home.&nbsp; She was born in Ironton, Ohio to the late George and Mary (Allen) Mahan on Feb. 27, 1962.&nbsp; She was the youngest of three children. She loved her parents, and her brothers, Kenny and Tim.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1980.&nbsp; After graduation, she worked at the Campbell Mushroom Plant from 1983 until she retired in 2013.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She married the love of her life, Tim Potts on April 28, 1984.&nbsp; He precedes her in death.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They had one amazing son who survives, Tim (T.J.) Potts, the other the love of her life.&nbsp; He was always there when she needed him and she was so proud of the man he\u2019s become.&nbsp; Rena was a member of the Gallia Baptist Church and loved her church family.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides her son, she is survived by her brother, Tim (Sherry) Mahan, of West Portsmouth; special sister-in-law, Heather Jones; several nieces, nephews and a few very close friends: Joyce Moore, Bonnie Rider, Ruth Hoyt, Angie Harden and Sally Rawlins.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenny and nephew, little Kenny; grandparents, John and Minnie Mahan and Oakley and Elizabeth Allen; and several aunts, uncles and friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rena enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church, and spending time with her brother, Tim and sister-in-law, Sherry on the porch.&nbsp; She always enjoyed doing anything with her son, T.J.&nbsp; She enjoyed fellowship with her church family and helping with church functions until her health wouldn\u2019t allow.&nbsp; She was a member of TOPS #OH1517, of Jackson and really enjoyed the meetings and her friends there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Friends may call Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis &amp; Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.\u00a0 Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at the Gallia Baptist Church with Pastor Cline Rawlins officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery.\u00a0Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is to wear a mask indoors and practice proper social distancing.
