Margarita A. Bolanio, age 99, of Wellston, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. She was born Feb. 22, 1921 in Inawayan Sta Cruz, Davao del Sur, Philippines. Margarita’s parents were the late Lucio Allawan (who died at the age of 120 years old) and Lucia Bagaan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Margarita was a loving and devoted homemaker who raised seven healthy children. She loved being able to do all types of gardening and working outdoors, and she was the best babysitter ever. Margarita was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is survived by three daughters, Natividad Bolanio and Nemesia Bolanio Villanueva, both of the Philippines, and Mansuela “Inday” Austin, and her husband Rick L. Austin, of Wellston; daughter-in-law, Teresa Bolanio of the Philippines; grandchildren; Cathy S. McWilliams (Randy), Santana M. Austin (Brandon McKenzie), Amelita Villanueva Balbastro (Ruben), Benjamin Bolanio, Roy Bolanio, Fracy Jane Bolanio, Frances Ann Bolanio, and Fernandel Bolanio; and great-grandchildren, Gabriella M. McWilliams, Jaden C. McWilliams and Rubie M. Balbastro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides her parents, Margarita was preceded in death by her husband, Sergio Bolanio; four sons, Vergilio Bolanio, Roberto Bolanio, Fortunato Bolanio (Deana), and Francisco Bolanio; son-in-law, Federico Villanueva; and granddaughter, Melanie Bolanio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Father Nic Ventura officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
