LuCinda \u201cCindy\u201d McManaway (McCartney), 74, was called home suddenly on March 31, 2020 after battling a short illness. She was born on Nov. 13, 1945 to John and Esther McCartney in Wellston, Ohio. She was a 1963 graduate of Wellston High School and a 1966 graduate of Holzer\u2019s School of Nursing. Over the next 45 years, she worked in nursing in some form but her heart was always in geriatric medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ferdinand and Louisiana Vowell; paternal grandparents; sisters, Elma Jane Walton and Helen Leasure; and niece, Jan Robinson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is survived by Michael, her husband of 53 years; daughters, Shanna and Katy (Gary) Blacklidge; grandsons, Gunner and Tucker Blacklidge; nephew, John Leasure; numerous other nieces and nephews; along with several dear, close personal friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
