Bob N. McCoy, age 77, of Oak Hill, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born June 17, 1942 in Oak Hill to the late Willard and Katherine (McFann) McCoy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy (Davis) McCoy, of Oak Hill; siblings, Susie (Terry) Hicks, Kenny (Shawnna) McCoy, Sheliah (Bob) Haislop, Janice (Steven) Aryee, Leisa (Rodney) Gowen, Larry (Cheryl) McCoy and Melissa (Shon) Marchio; and in-laws, Shirley Whitt, Karen (Dan) Dobbins and Dan Davis. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald McCoy; and sister, Linda Vititoe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bob graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1962, and he then went on to fight in Vietnam. He was a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church and retired from Meridian in Jackson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.\u00a0 Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastors Tim Moore and Dave Steiger officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in C.
