Claudia J. Wood, age 68, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born June 26, 1951 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Ovid Max Matteson and Verjean M. Darnell Matteson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Claudia was a 1969 graduate of Wellston High School and also a graduate of the Buckeye Hills School of Nursing. She retired from Four Winds Community, where she was employed as a LPN for several years. In her spare time, Claudia loved to go bowling and golfing, and she also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Claudia is survived by her husband, Forrest E. “Woody” Wood; children, Ronald Fisher and Shannon Fisher, both of Wellston; sisters, Carla Lanane (Terry) of Wellston, Connie McGhee (John) of McArthur, and Carrie Bishop of Louisiana; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Clara Stevison. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
