Womeldorf, Sr. and Charlotte A. &#8220;Sherry&#8221; McIntire Womeldorf.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnny was a 1984 graduate of Vinton County High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center.&nbsp; While in school, he excelled in all sports, which he carried on throughout his life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnny was the owner and operator of J&amp;T Womeldorf Trucking.&nbsp; He was a member of the Brick Layers Union, as well as several other unions over a period of 18 years.&nbsp; He was also a former employee of SF Restoration for several years. Johnny was a hard worker; always working and never stopping.&nbsp; He was stubborn and ornery, and at the same time he had a heart of gold and always put everyone else first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnny was an enthusiastic sports fan, always cheering on the Wellston Golden Rockets, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns.&nbsp; He loved NASCAR racing, and enjoyed participating in derby racing and fishing, in both of which he won several awards.&nbsp; Family meant the world to Johnny and he treasured the time he could spend with them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Patricia &#8220;Trish&#8221; Bishop Womeldorf; children, Ashtin Womeldorf (Rusty Hatten) of Jackson, Madison Womeldorf (Nate Schrader) of Utica, Braydon Womeldorf of Wellston, Seth Brown (Amanda Kriehn) of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, and Kelsey Darnell (Ryan) of Wellston; grandchildren, Journeigh Hatten and Walker Allan Brown; father, John Womeldorf (Bev) of Hamden; sister, Kim Montgomery (Mike) of Wellston; niece, Whitney Montgomery; nephew, Jacob Montgomery; mother-in-law, Alena Bishop of Wellston; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte &#8220;Sherry&#8221; Womeldorf; grandparents, Arvilla and Erskine Womeldorf, Jamima and John McIntire, and Doris McIntire; and his father-in-law, Michael Bishop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling hours will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.\u00a0 Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.\u00a0 Online condolences can be sent to the family at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com<\/a><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John E. &#8220;Johnny&#8221; Womeldorf, Jr., age 53, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019.&nbsp; He was born April 13, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio, to John E.
