{"id":10025,"date":"2019-09-04T09:14:45","date_gmt":"2019-09-04T13:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jacksoncountyohiogen.com\/members\/?p=10025"},"modified":"2019-09-15T09:15:44","modified_gmt":"2019-09-15T13:15:44","slug":"james-c-jim-jones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jacksoncountyohiogen.com\/members\/2019\/09\/04\/james-c-jim-jones\/","title":{"rendered":"James C. &#8220;Jim&#8221; Jones"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>James C. &#8220;Jim&#8221; Jones, age 97, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Four Winds Community.&nbsp; Jim was born Jan. 13, 1922 to the late Clyde Jones and Lillian Jones Williams.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim attended Ohio State University for four years and then was a fighter pilot on the&nbsp;<em>U.S.S. Wasp<\/em>&nbsp;during WW II.&nbsp; After the war, Jim was employed by Varian Association in Palo Alto, California. Jim was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Oak Hill.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Jane Jones; five children: Jamie, of Chicago, Illinois, Paul and David, both of Columbus, Ohio, Kevin and Linda, both of Oak Hill, Ohio; stepdaughter, Susan Conley (David) Massie; stepson, Rick (Pam) Conley; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Zikas; stepfather, Ross Williams; and stepson, John Conley.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends may call Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis &amp; Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.\u00a0 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in C.M.
