William “Dobie” Wyant, age 58, of Jackson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020. He was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on Feb. 16, 1962 to Raymond and Lynda (Jarvis) Wyant, who survive.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa (Lucas) Wyant; his daughter, Laura (Kris) Carper; grandchildren: Braydon Leonard, Lillie Carper, Charlee, Garrett and Lauren Carper; brothers: Joe (Tami) Wyant and Rod (Ronda) Wyant; and his nieces and nephews.
Dobie was the Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jackson for 14 years. He loved the Lord and loved his church family. Dobie also loved spending time with his grandchildren. They brought him happiness beyond measure. His prayer is that each one of them would come to know his Lord and Savior.
The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Private graveside services will be held at Fairmount Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to The Gideons and/or to the Lottie Moon Mission, c/o Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jackson.
